Shortcuts And New Features Of Twitter For Blackberry

Well, adieu to all the Twitter client for Blackberry. Twitter pushed a new update for its client for Blackberry couple of days back

Features Added :

  • Quote tweets (edit ReTweets)
  • Auto complete for @ usernames
  • Additional photo viewing support for Yfrog and PhotoTweet
  • View Geotagged Tweets
  • Personal Info Guard
  • Hotkeys for navigation
  • Go to users

HotKeys :
  1. While in a message list, hit "R" to Reply to the message sender

  2. While in a message list, hit "L" to Reply to the message sender and any other Twitter users mentioned by the sender with an "@" symbol, i.e., "reply all"

  3. While in a message list, click "C" to send a Direct Message to the Twitter user you highlighted

  4. While in a message list, tap "T" to jump all the way to the top

  5. While in a message list, tap "B" to jump all the way to the bottom

  6. While in a message list, highlight a specific users' "tweet" and click "F" to repost, or "Retweet" that message to your followers

  7. In a message list, tap the Space Bar at any time to "page down," or jump a page-length down your Twitter feed.

  8. In a message list, hold down either your Right Shift or Left Shift key--the buttons with upward-pointing arrows--and tap the Space Bar at any time to "page up," or jump a page-length up your Twitter feed.

Become A Pro BlackBerry User With Shortcuts


Typing Shortcuts


To insert a period, press the Space key twice. The next letter will be capitalized
To capitalize a letter, hold the letter key till the letter gets capitalized
Alt + Left Shift - NUM Lock
Alt + Right Shift - CAPS Lock
To turn off NUM lock or CAP lock, press the Shift key
To insert an (@) or a (.) in an email address bar, press the Space key
To highlight a line of text, press the Shift key and hover the trackpad
To highlight text character by character, hold the Shift key and hover the trackpad left or right
To cut highlighted text when typing, press the Shift + Backspace key
To copy highlighted text when typing, press the Alt key and click the trackpad
To paste highlighted text when typing, press the Shift key and click the trackpad

Note: To use the above shortcuts, you must have Dial From Home Screen set to "Off". (Phone > Options > General Options).
